'Life's livelihood' refers to where one's lifelong food and clothing come from. 'Secure and safe' means this person will support you forever, ensuring a life of abundant food and clothing, relying solely on this person without needing to seek others. If you force yourself to rush about based only on the current situation, what benefit would there be?
