Guan Di Fortune Sticks · Lot 2
Lot 2: Jia Yi
Traditional fortune label: Very Auspicious
Lot poem
Waxing and waning, growth and decay, are all determined by Heaven's timing, From now on, all things shall go well for you. If you ask about the destination of your future, You must cultivate goodness within your heart.
Story and textual notes
Waxing, waning, growth, and decay are the constants of Heaven's movement. The poverty, success, gain, and loss in human life are similarly unfixed. This indicates that the inquirer has not yet met their opportune time. 'From now on, all things shall go well' means that adversity will turn into prosperity, and what is planned will succeed. 'The destination of your future' is the place of harvest and final outcome. 'Cultivating within your heart' warns the inquirer not to damage their conscience or violate the laws of Heaven, but to accumulate virtues and cultivate good causes early on, which will ultimately bring celebrations. It is auspicious for the gentleman who cultivates virtue, but disastrous for the petty person who goes against it. It all depends on what one chooses.
Interpretation
Having experienced an unfavorable past, it is now time for your luck to turn. Things will gradually improve, but you must not become arrogant because of this. If you can start from your heart, harbor good thoughts at all times and places, and accumulate blessings, you will surely have a bright future. The key to this lot lies in your thoughts. If you proceed with good intentions, you will overcome all difficulties to achieve your goals. However, if you hold devious thoughts, you will bring misfortune upon yourself. You must be cautious.
Traditional summary
