Story and textual notes
For those who draw this lot: Nothing can be accomplished in autumn and winter, and fortune is ordinary. Any plans and hopes must wait until next spring. At that time, good news will reach your ears, the household will be auspicious and prosperous, and plans will go smoothly. 'Xuan Tang' refers to one's mother; her joy is without end, indicating that the mother will enjoy long life and abundant blessings.
Interpretation
The things you want to do will not receive much response in autumn and winter, which can only be described as ordinary. However, it will be different when spring arrives; you can feel a clear arrival of good luck, receive good news from afar, and achieve success. The elderly mother in the hall will feel extremely happy and enjoy both blessings and longevity. Although this lot indicates that autumn and winter are only ordinary, you must still work very hard to reap rewards in spring. If you do not work hard because of this, even the best fortune will be in vain.
Traditional summary
Lawsuits will gradually resolve; illnesses will gradually recover; wealth will begin to arrive; fame will begin to shine; travelers are approaching; marriage is good; family path is auspicious; blessings and prosperity will flourish.
