Last year was agreeable: the auspiciousness of the past. This year the fortune declines: the misfortune of the present. Burning incense to pray to the gods: advises people to plant good deeds early to move the gods, so that misfortune can be turned into blessing. Without the support of the gods and Buddhas, blessings will decline and fade, and disasters will come together, leading to regrets that are impossible to resolve. What can be done then? The inquirer should reflect and cultivate themselves early.
