Having a guilty conscience, you cover it up with forced arguments, Attempting to deceive the officials and walking on crooked paths. Once your ugly reality is exposed before the bright mirror, And you are bound by the net of the law, do not sigh in grief.

Being in the wrong but covering it up with words. Clearly not following reason, using empty words to gloss over things—this is self-deception. Furthermore, wanting to deceive the officials and behave dishonestly is a plot of litigious struggle and deception, which deceives others. In short, it is all deceiving Heaven. Heaven's inspection will not tolerate it, and the ugliness will naturally expose itself. 'Facing the moon mirror' means as bright as the moon and as clear as a mirror; how can any shape be hidden? Thus, the law will not tolerate it, and one falls into the net of crime. Harming others ends in harming oneself, and regret will be too late. People must be careful not to fall into this karmic obstacle.

Although you know in your heart that your reasons are insufficient, you still cover it up with sweet talk. This kind of personality easily invites legal trouble. Even in court, you still try to justify yourself, deceiving the officials and superiors. It is not that you will win just because you believe you are right.
