Guan Di Fortune Sticks · Lot 7
Lot 7: Jia Geng
Traditional fortune label: Great Fortune
Lot poem
Having a celestial demeanor and bones of a Taoist by birth, And encountering a celestial master to guide and patronize. Soon the elixir is refined to bid farewell to the rocky valleys, One day raising the head and flying toward the heavens.
Story and textual notes
Having Taoist bones by birth means possessing a predestined connection to the Tao. The celestial master's guidance means finding the path to the immortal ranks. The imminent refinement of the elixir means ascension is just around the corner. Raising the head toward the heavens means being high in the clouds. For Taoist practitioners, this is of the highest fortune. For scholars, it signifies achieving a clean and prestigious rank. For other matters, it is too illusory and cannot be judged entirely as auspicious.
Interpretation
Being luckier than others, you are born with a spiritual connection and have encountered guidance from a master, allowing you to smoothly find the path of seeking the Tao, proceed without obstacles, and achieve good results. This lot can also be interpreted as seeking medical help and obtaining good medicine, but it also carries the meaning of ascending to immortality (passing away), so the querent must handle it carefully. Although this lot is of Great Fortune, it has almost no influence on other matters except for those mentioned above, so it should not be judged entirely as a highly auspicious lot.
Traditional summary
Fame is achieved, wealth is abundant, lawsuits are justified, illness is not severe, the traveler arrives, dreaming of a flying bear, burial grounds are auspicious, marriage is complete.
