Story and textual notes
During the Warring States period, Su Qin took the examinations multiple times but failed them all. Originally, he was a very learned and knowledgeable person, but unfortunately, his luck had not yet arrived. Fortunately, he did not lose heart due to temporary disappointment; with his unyielding will, he eventually rose to become the prime minister.
Interpretation
The bright moon and the jade box represent a person's true talents and learning, but unfortunately, they are occasionally covered by floating clouds and cannot reveal their brilliance. 'Who will lend me a mighty gale?' conveys a sigh of waiting for an opportunity and not yet meeting a benefactor. This implies that those who obtain this oracle lot should not act rashly.
