The 53rd Divine Lot: Feng Xuan as Lord Mengchang's Guest
Traditional fortune label: Good Fortune
Lot poem
Three thousand guests in pearl-embroidered shoes visit Mengchang, Yet who could recognize the flying eagle among them? The one who tapped his sword hilt and sang of returning, Is indeed the hero whose ambition cannot be matched.
Story and textual notes
During the Warring States period, Lord Mengchang had three thousand retainers. At first, Feng Xuan was treated only as a low-ranking guest. Feng Xuan tapped his sword sheath and sang aloud: 'Sword, we had better leave! Here, there is no fish for meals, and no carriage for travel!' Hearing this, Lord Mengchang treated him as an honored guest. Later, Feng Xuan built goodwill and alliances for Lord Mengchang, enabling him not only to escape great danger but also to reclaim his fiefdom.
Interpretation

However, you must cultivate goodness and receive divine protection to realize and reveal these benefits. This lot describes: among Lord Mengchang's three thousand guests, who had the foresight to recognize such talent? The one who once tapped his sword and sang is the hero Feng Xuan.
