Story and textual notes
Xun Minghe and Lu Shilong were both promising scholars of the Western Jin Dynasty, each with their own ambitions and writings. One day, the two heroes met, sat together, expressed their views, and debated eloquently, making it impossible to determine who was superior.
Interpretation
This oracle lot indicates signs of verbal disputes and gossip. In all matters, avoid talking too much. The meaning of the lot is: in the meeting, each shows off their heroism, but whose viewpoint is the most correct? It is hard to draw a conclusion. Some say Xun Minghe makes sense, others say Lu Shilong won the debate. Although harmless, arguing with others wastes time, causes trouble, and hurts feelings.
