Story and textual notes
Lady Hongfu, a singing girl in the Yang Mansion, was in love with Li Jing. The two were preparing to elope in the dead of night, when the Bearded Warrior (Qiuran Ke) happened to appear. The Bearded Warrior and Lady Hongfu addressed each other as brother and sister. During their conversation, Li Jing misunderstood that the Bearded Warrior was flirting with her and obstructing their elopement. He drew his sword three times to slay the Bearded Warrior, but was stopped by Lady Hongfu each time. When they understood each other's intentions, with the help of the Bearded Warrior, the three escaped from the Yang Mansion together, forming the 'Three Heroes of the Windy and Dusty World' to roam the martial world together.
Interpretation
The subtle relationship among Lady Hongfu, Li Jing, and the Bearded Warrior reminds us through this lot that we must show forbearance in everything and not act recklessly. Those who obtain this oracle lot must show patience and yield to others in all matters to turn misfortune into fortune. As far as the lot is concerned, it is neither auspicious nor inauspicious, but there is no major obstacle, just ordinary.
