Confucius, the Great Sage, heard the Shao music in the State of Qi, which deeply enchanted him. For three whole months, during every meal, he did not even know the taste of meat. He was so single-mindedly devoted to studying the creation of Shao music, forgetting both sleep and food, that he finally achieved great success.
