Traveling south, north, east, and west represents a man's ambition for the four corners of the world. The horizon is vast and distant, and there was no ladder to climb in the past, leaving no path for advancement. Wait until the year, month, or day of the Rat and Ox, and there will naturally be a benefactor to elevate you. Scholars will enjoy a resounding reputation, and their names will be inscribed on the golden roll. Merchants will see their wealth and profits flourish, family properties will thrive, marriages will be harmonious, injustices will be cleared, and all matters will succeed. If the timing has not arrived, it will not manifest.
Interpretation
A man's ambition lies in all directions, but he feels lost, finding no way out in any direction. The future is as far as the end of the earth, and he knows not how to advance. When the years of the Rat and Ox arrive, he will receive assistance from a benefactor, enabling him to gain fame or achieve great success in one stroke. Therefore, one must prepare now; once the opportunity comes, success will follow. In the long term, it will be the years of the Rat and Ox; in the short term, the months or days of the Rat (Zhi) and Ox (Chou). Endure the current hardship and confusion, and wait for the right time.
