Traditional fortune label: Good Fortune
Lot poem
Autumn waters and reeds are filled with white dew, The moonlit courtyard bathes the steps in clear light. A gentle breeze stirs, making the horse bells ring, Their chime connects with the morning bells, sounding continuously.
Story and textual notes
Xiao He pursuing the worthy under the moon is a true story of retaining talent from the Han Dynasty. Xiao He assisted Liu Bang in establishing his empire. The great general Han Xin joined Liu Bang but was not given an important post, so he fled in the middle of the night. Upon learning this, Xiao He immediately galloped under the moonlight to chase Han Xin, reasoning with him to change his mind and help build the Han Dynasty together.
Interpretation
The two lines 'Autumn waters and reeds are filled with white dew' describe an autumn scene. 'Jianjia' refers to rushes and reeds, on which frost and dew have condensed, with moonlight filling the steps. Next comes the sound of horse bells in the gentle breeze, followed by the morning bells of dawn, symbolizing the successful return of Han Xin. This oracle lot carries the meaning of recovering what was lost and making full use of talent.
