Story and textual notes
Patriarch Lu (Lu Dongbin) is one of the Eight Immortals. The Peachwood Sword is the celestial weapon held by this Pure Yang Patriarch when he resigned from his government post to cultivate the Dao during the Tang Dynasty.
Interpretation
This oracle lot is highly auspicious, indicating that everything is developing in a positive direction. The celestial sign is found in the first two characters of the poem, "How do we know?"—how do we know this peachwood sword will not turn into a dragon? When it achieves its ultimate purpose in the future, upon meeting celestial water, it will transform into a dragon, soaring out from Immortal Lu's sleeve and flying tens of thousands of miles, accompanied by colorful clouds in the sky! Those who draw this lot should strive to cultivate themselves and improve, and they will surely achieve great things. There is fortune and no misfortune. If one can do more good deeds to accumulate virtue, everything will go even smoother, and prosperity is guaranteed.
