This is another most unfavorable lot about how a poor couple suffers in a hundred ways. Lun Wenxu was a poor scholar whose wife, detesting his poverty, remarried. When Lun Wenxu won the first place in the imperial examination, his wife was filled with regret. After being ridiculed with a few words by Lun Wenxu, she jumped from a building and died.
