The 97th Oracle Lot: Kang Shun Fishing
Traditional fortune label: Moderate Oracle Lot
Lot poem
Leaning against the railing of the South Tower to gaze at dusk, The scenery filling the eyes is quiet and elegant. A tiny boat casts bait repeatedly, Will the old fisherman catch any fish or not?
Story and textual notes
Kang Shun was a hermit in ancient times. Leaning against the railing of a south-facing tower, the scenery filling his eyes was elegant. On the water surface was a tiny boat, and Kang Shun, dressed as an old fisherman, was casting his hook repeatedly; as for whether he got any catch, that remains unknown.
Interpretation
Although there is no danger in this oracle lot, there are only beautiful scenes in vain. If one fishes without the proper method, whether there is a catch remains unknown. When drawing this lot, one should consider their age. The elderly may as well live leisurely and seek peace of mind, while the young must seize opportunities well.
Traditional summary
Wealth is hard to obtain, recovery from illness is delayed, livestock and silk farming yield little profit, plans and expectations should be cautious, pregnancy has no obstacles, the traveler has not arrived, regarding marriage another choice is preferable, home is ordinary, accumulating good deeds leads to prosperity.
